Step 1: Select the photos or videos you wish to upload. Simply press and hold the item, wait until the check mark appears it means it has been selected (proceed if you have several to upload)
Step 2: Simply tap on "Upload" once you are done choosing.

As the name implies this app was developed by Google and was released back on April 24, 2012. It has several features for different data types, i.e. Google Docs for word documents, Google Sheets for excel files and even Google photos for media content. Users can also have access to their files offline.
The settings would just need to be adjusted for each file you would like to be able to view and use even without an internet connection. Aside from it being used for storage Google also allows you to be able to create new files which are directly saved to your drive.
The difference this app has is the size of free storage you get initially. You are supplied 15GB for all types of data you wish to store (this already includes your emails and attachments), for some it is sufficient enough but if ever you are the type of person who needs more you can also purchase additional storage space by paying either a monthly or yearly subscription.
You can get 100GB for $1.99 for a month or pay $19.99 for a year and 1TB is $9.99 per month or you can get it for $99.99 for a whole year.
This app allows not only upload of files (photos, videos, documents) but also permits sharing to other users which is why it's quite popular. It's free to download and you get 2GB of storage space initially, it's lower than what the other backup services provide.
Although by sharing and inviting other people to use Dropbox or even promoting it to social media you get the chance to have extra storage space for free. There are other features Dropbox offers like being able to print a document remotely (if your printer is at home) and even monitor and manage your torrent downloads.
Although be mindful about keeping your account active. The developers reserve the right to delete any stored file if you fail to access or use the app for months at a time meaning there's a risk of losing important data if you neglect to keep track of things.

You can also enjoy its features on your desktop using its counterpart MEGAsync which works for Mac, Windows, and even Linux based computers. Users can control the speed of upload for either single or whole folders, it is actually limited to 10GB but it refreshes every 30 mins so it is not too bad.
The downside though is with its link sharing capabilities. You can't create a password for the files and can only be available when it is set to public so there's a bit of a security concern.
For people who mostly use tools such as word and excel this is the platform best rated for its well-integrated features. This is not surprising since OneDrive is brought about by Microsoft.
It offers free 15GB of storage and you earn extra when a friend signs up from your invite or when you enable automatic backup of your photos from your device's camera after syncing it with the app.
One thing that users find as a bit of a downside when using the tool is file sharing, it tends to become limited so it is not convenient if you have a network of people you need to send files to or if you use it for business or work.
What makes it pleasing to people who have their own accounts is that they can have non-users upload files to their backed up folders. You would also get an instant 10GB of storage space and be able to upload files as big as 25GB in one go.

Step 1: When you finish backing up your files as mentioned above you'll have the option to restore the files to either your PC or another device. Just click on "Device Data Restore", you'll see the most recent backup created by default.
Step 2: After selecting the backup file you would like to transfer it would bring you to the next page where you can review the contents in detail again it is categorized by data type so if you are not going to transfer the whole lot you can just pick out the ones that you need.
Click on "Restore" after making your selection than "OK" to confirm further and proceed with the transfer process.
Step 3: All you need to do now is wait for it to finish then double check the files that were transferred once you have been prompted that the transfer is done.
Important Note: Whether it is during the backup process or while completing a restore make sure that you do not disconnect your Android device or perform any other task to avoid any errors and complications.
