However, if you are using a Windows PC, then the only way that you can access it is by going to the web-access only for you to be able to use your Notes, Contacts, Calendar, iCloud Drive, Pages, Numbers, and Keynotes using your web browser on your Windows PC.

Part 3: How to Upload Data to iCloud from Mac?

The most common data that we have on our Mac is the photos that we have stored in it. And that is one data that we are going to use as an example on how you can upload them to your iCloud using your Mac PC. And for you to be able to do that, here is what you will be needing to do.

Step 1: Go ahead and launch the Photo that you would want to upload on your iCloud.

Step 2: From there, you will be able to see the “iCloud’ option located under the Shared category.

Step 3: From there, all you have to do is to click on that for you to be able to check the photos on your iCloud.

Step 4: After doing that, go ahead and choose all the photos that you would want to upload on your iCloud and then drag them over to the album entitled “My Photo Stream”.

Part 4: How to Upload Desktop and Documents to iCloud on Mac?

You can also store on your iCloud any of the documents that you have on your Mac going to your iCloud. This way, you will be able to access any of them using any other iOS device or by using any computer. Here is how you can do it.

NOTE: Before you start, you have to make sure that you have the necessary requirements to proceed with the process.

    • You have to make sure that you have updated your Mac to the latest version. This goes the same with any other iOS device that you have so that you can access your uploaded data.
    • You have to make sure that you have signed in to only one Apple ID account on all of your devices – whether on your iPad, iPhone, iPod, or on your Mac.
    • You have to set up iCloud on all of the devices that you have and make sure that you have turned on iCloud Drive.

SOLUTION #1: Turn On Your Desktop and Documents

Here, you are going to turn on your Desktop and Documents on the Mac device that you are going to use for you to be able to use your iCloud Drive. Here is what you need to do.

Step 1: Go ahead and go to your Apple menu.

Step 2: After that, go ahead and choose System Preferences

Step 3: And then, go ahead and select iCloud.

Step 4: Also, you have to ensure that iCloud Drive is enabled.

Step 5: Then after that, go ahead and click on Options located next to the iCloud Drive.

Step 6: From there, go ahead and choose the Desktop and Documents folders.

Step 7: Then lastly, once that you are done, go ahead and click on Done.

After doing this on your Mac, you will be able to find on your Finder the Desktop and Documents folder located in your iCloud section of the sidebar. So, if you are going to add another Mac desktop, then you will also be able to find the Desktop folder in your iCloud Drive. The name of your second Mac device will also be the name of the folder.

SOLUTION #2: How to Access Your Desktop and Documents file Using Another Device

Now, you have already known on how you can upload your data on iCloud on PC. The next thing that will come upon your mind will be “how are you going to access it?”. That is actually pretty simple. Any device that you have will be able to help you gain access to these files. And here are the ways on how you can do it on different devices.

Device #1: Access Using Another Mac

Here, you will be able to find the files on your Desktop and Documents using the Finder on your Mac under iCloud. You also have the option to look for the title using your Spotlight.

Also, you will be able to manage or organize the folders that you have once that you have turned on Desktop and Documents. And once that you have turned it on using a second Mac, you will be able to find the files in the folder having the same name as your second Mac.

Device #2: Access Using iOS devices

Using the Files application on an iOS 11 or later version of any iOS device that you have, you will be able to easily access it using your iPhone, iPod, or iPad device. And once that you were able to find the data that you need, then all you will be able to use using any application that is compatible with it. This way, you will also be able to edit the file that you have chosen.

Device #3: Access Using iCloud.com

You can also find the files that you saved on your iCloud by going through the iCloud.com website. This way, you will be able to access your Desktop and Documents folder from any other computer that you have. You will also be able to drag any files in the Desktop and Documents folder and you will be surprised that you will also be able to find it on your Mac.

Now, for you to be able to do all of these, here is what you will be needing to do.

Step 1: Go ahead and sign in to iCloud.com using your Apple ID and password.

Step 2: After that, go ahead and choose iCloud Drive.

Step 3: And then, go ahead and click on the Desktop and Documents folder.
